Jazza, you should do a black & white drawing challenge in Photoshop (aka, make your screen B&W) so when it comes to the end result, seeing the colours you ended up with is a total surprise!

“It didn’t take as long as you would expect”

Oh so it took you like an hour or so.

“About three hours”

Well that’s how long it usually takes me to draw anyway....

Cool tutorial but it should be nice to maybe break down the process into pieces and in more detail. Skillshare course?

After... what? Five years? After five years of being frustrated with coloring - finally a video that makes it short, simple and is also professionally well produced. Thank you so very much!

Oh man, your timing is beyond awesome! I just got a job to be a colorist for this comic company and they gave me a test page to work on and I have pre-show jitters. This video definitely wiped away any doubt in my mind, thank you good sir!

Also, the cyborg demon is one of my favorite art pieces you made so I'm glad you used that as your example :D

As someone who's been drawing purely traditionally for the past decade and is finally transitioning to digital, this video taught me an important lesson I needed, that no one else is teaching me.
And hard as it is to swallow, it's a lesson I need to come to grips with.

There are simply something effects you can't do on your own, and that's why your programs can do them for you.
The filtering
The glows
The radiant lighting effects

It's all there because YOU CAN'T DRAW IT FREE HANDEDLY. At least not unless you're an expert, but even then, experts probably still use these techniques because they're there to be used and save so much time and mistakes. It's time I accept that I can't draw everything... and that's okay.

Thank you for the lesson Jazza.

Hey Jazza! I am a long time Krita user and I find your custom Photoshop brushes really cool! Can you do a multi program brushes that works on any program you use? If so, I would totally buy it! But if not, you should create custom Krita brushes for all Krita users out there.

I've watched SO many tutorials on digital colouring and blending and none of them helped me improve my art or made it any easier. This video helped me. Finally. Thank you so much.

This is EXACTLY what I needed!! I'm a traditional artist and I've been floundering with the tablet I got for Christmas. How did you know?
