ANTONIS TZELEPIS - Serenata (by Franz Schubert)

Показать описание
Antonis Tzelepis plays the well-known Serenade by Franz Schubert, using violin and piano, in his own characteristic way. This Serenade was written in 1826 and is an extremely beautiful and simple piece written on an instant inspiration of the composer and sounds very pleasant from the first to the last note. Many musicians say that this composition presents an absolute perfection in its finale and a grace and beauty that never tires. It was originally written for a male choir and then sung by female choirs as well as mixed. According to Schubert's biographer Von Hellborn, one Sunday in the summer of 1826, Schubert was returning from Potzleinsdorf to the city and accidentally saw his girlfriend Tieze sitting at a table in the 'Zum Biersack'. Schubert sat down next to her and turned the pages of the book she was holding. Suddenly he stopped and showed her a poem that, as he told her, had a momentary inspiration in his mind and if he had some paper he would write it. And his friend H. Doppler designed a page with a rough stave and Schubert wrote this wonderful melody on it just in a few minutes . . .
