How to configure a postprocessor in DeskProto.

Показать описание
This video is about the DeskProto postprocessors. First the function of a postprocessor is explained and demonstrated. Next the video shows how you can edit (configure) a postprocessor in DeskProto. That is much easier than in most other CAM programs: in DeskProto any user can do this by editing settings in the postprocessor dialog. And finally the latest feature is shown: using postprocessor 'placeholders' to let DeskProto add extra information when writing the NC program file (this feature was added in Version 7.1).
In the video the editor Textpad is used, however any editor can be used instead: for instance Notepad (Windows), TextEdit (MacOS) or Text Editor (Linux).

Very good video about modifying or creating post processors. I have a new Pocket NC V2 with the new firmware and the Pocket NC post processor in Deskproto does not work with the new firmware. The machine definition is still fine. After spending a lot of time trying to modify the post processor I ended up modifying a basic post processor. From a google search I found the minimum commands needed for a Pocket NC and pasted into the post processor. It now works fine.
