Here are the books I got in August 2018! The reading slump is still affecting me but here I am buying more books. Hopefully these books will help and I'm also starting to prepare myself for all the Fall Reading I'm hoping to do! Horrors, mysteries, thrillers here I come!

Honestly though, these books seem so interesting and you're pretty much the only Booktuber I know who reads Non-YA books that are not already hyped up. I always get excited because I normally wouldn't pick up these books on my own without someone else talking about them first.

I LOVE the Time Traveler's Wife! The movie is similar but the book obviously goes much much more in depth and allows a much closer relationship to the characters. Forever a favorite of mine!

The Time Traveler's Wife- the book is so much better than the film! I'd say the story is broadly similar to the film but there is so much more depth to it and the characters each have such a rich, unique backstory that makes them feel very real in a way the film couldn't capture due to time constraints. The only thing about the book is it can be super confusing as it switches both points of view and times and it's not in chronological order, but just remember to play close attention to the chapter titles.

Promise of Blood and the Powdermage and the subsequent series is SOOO good. very exciting and fact paced. McClellan was a student of Brandon Sanderson and it shows.

Yay for The Time Traveller's Wife! It's one of my favourite books and while I generally also don't like romance, this one is one of the cures relationship I've ever read :)

I usually dont like love stories either. But this one is magical and at the same time feels so real. I read the book when it came out and saw the film two years ago. I already knew it was a bad movie, because it would have been way more popular otherwise. So its no match to the book at all. Its my only love story I like. So enjoy!
