Brie Larson is classic projection incarnate. She is a privileged, protected person who yells at others about the things she hates inside of her own self.

Wow, Elizabeth Olson has some amazing self awareness for Hollywood. Good for her. Maybe its because of how her older sisters struggled so much after their acting careers at such young ages

It's not about gender or colors, its about attitude, and how one treats others. There's a reason everyone loves Keanu Reeves.

That Larson/Hemsworth/Cheadle interview... I have difficulty tearing my eyes from the interpersonal train wreck between Brie and Chirs... but man, when I do, Cheadle's facial expression is pure gold.

Despite Feige's half a decade of pushing Captain Marvel as the next face of the MCU, it doesn't look like she's anyone's Captain Marvel anymore, not when she's being relentlessly side-lined in her own sequel. And I love it.

The comment by Elizabeth Olsen about the narcissism of social media is such an important point of discussion.

You're absolutely right. Brie doesn't owe us anything and in return we don't owe her an ounce of attention or time or financial rewards. Action, reaction. :)

Love the reactions of her co stars in the interviews. She's obviously full of herself, which doesn't usually make a person likeable

As a South African who is of mixed heritage and who grew up under apartheid, I know all about experiencing racism but I'm so tired of identity politics and people thinking racism only comes from white people. All people can be racist. Why is society trying to convince me that only black people have the monopoly on racism? There is racism, colorism and prejudice in every race (the human race). I say this as someone who is of German, African and Dutch heritage. I'm a human being and judge and want to be judged on the content of my character. Society needs to wake up and stop this madness, it's only creating more division amonst us in my opinion. Hollywood forcing identity politics down our throats is counter-productive in my opinion. What happened to movies being entertaining? Everywhere I look there's some injustice they're trying to rectify and lecture us on in the most condescending way. All my opinions.

I remember feeling this way about Evangeline Lily when the Hobbit films came out. She seemed to have this ungrateful, arrogant attitude. And it annoyed me so much bc I kept thinking, “Woman, your character doesn’t exist in the books! They created someone that you have been permitted to play. Be grateful this opportunity was given to you!”

You still gotta give props to Brie. She's managed to make absolutely everyone dismiss her from being a competent actor with one single role

Clark Gable standing up for a collegue, that he actually knew and had worked with is different to some theoretical cause.

A big part of the problem is that Hollywood will talk about diversity & how important it is, yet they will introduce it in the most toxic, divisive & even laziest ways that they can. Often also deciding that past prejudices against certain groups should be flipped & now be against other groups. Thinking that this makes them look good. In reality, it just makes them look petty. They are unintentionally alienating the general public by doing these types of things. It's the people that are put in charge of introducing diversity that are the problem. Not diversity itself.

My favourite part of The Marvels trailer was when they combined their powers, and transformrd Don Cheadle into Captain Planet; after which he turned The Patriarchy™ into trees.

When reviewing the Halo books, Brian David Gilbert said "a universe only matters if it has characters that you can connect with". The issue with the new MCU is it's being run into the ground with people who can't write characters that connect with their core audience anymore and have decided that their low stats are because of their 'brave' (but frankly overt) messages that 'scare' their target demographic

I’m still not convinced that press footage of her with Chris Hemsworth and Don Cheadle is real, how could you not read the room when acting that way.

Billy Batson will always be the one true Captain Marvel.

Wait, Someone got told by CHRIS HEMSWORTH that they are similar to TOM CRUISE and the response is " I want to be the next me ". I think anyone with a sane mind would feel accomplished and lucky to be praised like that! This is a true example of praise where it's worth.

You nailed it. Her little eye rolls and disgust signals are constant whenever she speaks in public or gives an interview. It makes her come across as unbearable and anyone who's ever been in a relationship where you live with anyone romantically could already see how those personality traits would be a nightmare to deal with every day...no matter how attractive she is.

One correction. Being an actor used to be much harder. Before the technology we have now, you wanted to jump a long gap, you had to jump that gap. You wanted to flip a car with people inside, you had to flip that can with people inside. A lot of times, they could use tricky camera work to make the stunts safer, but the stunt still had to happen and someone needed to do it.
If Brie had to actually go through boot camp for her role, that would have been one thing. If she actually had flown a fighter jet, that would have been another. If she actually fought with an impressive fighting style, that would have been another. But she doesn’t. She doesn’t do anything impressive to earn her supposed status.
She’s a Barbie. Just slap an outfit on her and call her Doctor, Maid, or Soldier. Just about the same thing.
