Andy Phelps, Alarm Lock National trainer, shows you all the ins and outs of the Alarm Lock Trilogy programming software, DL Windows. He shows you how to download and install the latest version and then goes through how to begin setting up an account with lock profiles and users. He also shows you some tricks and special techniques within the software.

He then demonstrates how to create schedules of different types as well as how to program the Trilogy T3 locks using the AL-PCI2U cable and the Data Transfer module.
This 2 hour video will get you up and running and help you start your Trilogy stand alone access control system.

Some parameters worth mentioning since many of us will use existing Excel files to collect data and create a .csv file for DL Windows. I struggled with data transfer to DL Windows; I kept getting error messages. Here was the solution:
I was attempting to just fill the first name/last name and street address and Andy tells us this will be A1, B1 and D1 in a .csv file. My first names often included a husband and wife or the name of a trust (the key is intended to be issued to a household, not an individual). I discovered there are character limitations to each of these fields. In the first name slot, 14 characters are allowed, in the last name, 15. For the street address, the limitation is 50. As I did not need the remaining fields, I did not discover their maximum but this is easy to do by just entering numbers into each field in the Global Users box manually until you reach capacity and then determine the count.

I bought a gym and inherited the dl1300 lock with the gym. I was given a crash course on how to manually add and remove codes using the key pad. I'd really like to know how to get what is on the door already to download to my computer without erasing what is on the door. I am using a 3 to 4 digit code to set a 6 digit code for my members to use.

This is a great teaching tool. Thank you. For what reason would i receive the following message on the DTM III when sending data to the lock. " Lock ID Empty or, Lock Type Error". This is for 1 of 3 locks, other locks accepted the update and work fine. These locks were installed a few years back, data sent to lock on monthly update schedule. No FOBs work now on this lock, so the lock was programmed passage temporarily.

The video taught me a lot of valuable information and wish I had watch it sooner. My question is it possible to use another laptop to upload users? No matter if even I cloned the profile to another computer, I get an error for uploading.

Do you need to purchase a Alarm Lock Reader/enroller if you need to add more keyfobs to the lock? we purchased 10 new fobs and none of them are working even though we have the facility code and card number range typed into the DL software and wirelessly tried to update the lock. It seems that I should not have to spend $500+ dollars just to add keyfobs to a single lock for a small business.

Is this software still under active development? It appears the latest version was last updated in 2016. I would LOVE it if there was a simple way to send updates to the lock on a schedule, even if it was through a command-line interface. As it is, a user has to manually run the program to "expire" users even though there is an Expiration Date field, which as far as I can tell does not do anything. A user and his locks remain active after the expiration date unless manually removed and a manual Communication session performed on the lock(s). Seeing as how this system uses SQL Server on the backend, it would be very easy to expire users using a SQL statement, if only there was a way to run the lock communication on a schedule.

I watched the whole thing. can I use the TDM with DL Windows without over riding the prox cards already assigned to the lock? how can I manually enter prox card information in to DL Windows and make sure they remain with the user numbers that were assigned at the lock?

How can I change passcode in the key pads individually ? I have a building with 7 floors and each floor has in all the floor the same code but I want to change it so every tenant have their own code to access in their apartmetn. Thank you

Hello to you all! So im new to the trilogy and the dtm at a school i have no one to train me im needing some help with my dtm not reading most of my trilogy locks. There is a message coming up (security error! code incorrect) and then i go to a different prox reader and my pass code works just fine. HELP!

my manager passed away and i have version 3.6.0...there is no password reset and i cannot access dl windows. how can i change the password
