The thing to be careful of with ultrasonic cleaners is if there are scratches (especially in glass) it can make the scratch worse. Also, most of the time a detergent or grease remover is recommended, but you want to make sure it won’t hurt soft metals like aluminum or brass :) I use simple green in mine to clean automotive and firearm parts without any scrubbing.

I discovered recently that ultrasonic cleaning can cause the UV coating to peel off the lenses of your glasses. Just ordered a new $300 pair of lenses....

We Use these to clean our Sterling silver jewelry at my grandparents jewelry store and let me tell you! (We do available Pearls and other very fragile stones like amber) but for chains and rings to get the tarnish off it works very well!
I got my own for home because I love how well they work!!
