I love Costco! Fun fact:we usually get our yearly subscription as a Christmas gift from my in-laws. 👍🏻

If you guys can, invest in a food saver machine. It’s only me in my home and I buy Costco meats, come home and break it down to freeze. Love love love that machine. No freezer burn or air ever.
Love you guys!!! 🥰

You can order whole subprimals for pickup at Costco. Then cut steaks and roasts for yourself.

Far cheaper.

Get paid to be a member: executive membership + the costco credit card for all daily purchases and paid off monthly.
We spend about 40k a year on the card and between the return on the executive membership and the cash rewards from the card we get paid about 1k a year to be a member and shop with the card.

Unlike other card reward programs it is literally a yearly check you can cash or deposit back into your checking account. It's wild and I love it.

I did a Costco haul today and spent a lot but saved so much! The pork loin was only $1.59/lb! I was shocked! Their meat is fantastic and the prices are even better than Sam's club! It's a much further drive but we make a day trip out of it and keep the freezer stocked! And Kirkland grass fed butter is better and cheaper than Kerry gold! Great haul you got! Thanks for sharing!

Love Costco. If y'all have local cattle farms nearby....look into buying from them. We buy a half a cow a year and it lasts for a long time. With processing and packaging, we paid $1.14/lb in November for half a cow. It's a lot at once, but if you plan ahead/budget it's the best bang for your buck and.... the meat is fantastic!!!

Love your Costco enthusiasm. As someone who has shopped there for as long as I can remember and was even gifted a Costco membership for my 18th birthday lol, it’s nice to see it from the perspective of someone who’s never been there. Since going carnivore it has renewed my appreciation for the place because it is so much cheaper!

If you want to save a little more money, skip the steaks and get a whole loin / roast and cut your own steaks. The pork loins are also really good value, we can usually take down 2 whole loins every 2 weeks ( house of 5, two of us carnivore). Oh and the Kirkland salted butter ( green foil wrapper) is really good and worth the cost. We like it better than Kerry Gold.

Thank you! This was a phenomenal video comparison (best on that I have seen on yt!!). Keep making these type vids please.

yes, walmart meat is horrific & Costco's meat is excellent. 🥩

For the large bulk of meat that you buy freezer paper ($5) and use this with just some masking tape mark the date, type of meat & price per pound on the paper before wrapping. This will keep your meat freezer burn free for 6+ months (much longer most likely but I usually eat up the meat with 6 months). Much cheaper then plastic freezer baggies.

Good luck this week with your carnivore diet. take care. 💙🐬💙

I make my own sauces. They are super easy. The only condiment I don't have to make is mustard. It comes with no chemicals/preservatives so is safe. Ketchup, BBQ, mayo, creamy horseradish, honey mustard, tomato, ranch dressing, marinara, condensed milk are all easy to make and I'm sure I've left some off.

If your Costco sells gas, their price s usually the lowest in town. What I save on gas in a year usually pays the $60...

This direct comparison is much appreciated, as i have been curious about it myself.

The two of you are an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your journey.

i totally got a costco membership for the meat and eggs options here in canucktistan 🇨🇦 mostly for the huge egg quantity options.
here i've also found sugar and gluten free breakfast sausages, huge portions of pork belly for cheap and kirkland all beef wieners with no fillers or sugar as well. i wasn't as happy with my areas cost do bacon options....the organic bacon was not sugar free, it had a maple flavour to it and there was no thick cut options. i love thick cut bacon.

Don't forget the grass fed butter.

That's exactly how I've purchased meet for carnivore the entire 1½ years I've been on it. And since you are buying in bulk it definitely helps stretch that $$ more.

Wish Costco wasn’t a hour away from here. I would definitely use that place. They have Kirkland carbonated water that’s good.

Very interesting conparison vid... Quick back of the napkin math u might want to consider the executive membership it is double the price $120 instead of $60 but u get 2% back on what u purchase each year so at just under a $100 avg per week ud get back a little over a $100 or a net annual membership of $20ish ... Assuming u keep at that spend average at costco 😊

You need to try the pork belly instead of bacon. Cut it in chunks and fry it in a skillet or cook in the oven. So good

I had the same experience as you with Walmart meat, was spoiled when we got it, yuck. You may want to look into buying a 1/4 or 1/2 cow from a local farmer. We found one with a great reputation just searching online, about an hour and a half from us. We just picked ours up a couple of days ago and with all processing fees, butchered a week before pickup, all meat came out to $4.70/lb for 171.13 lb hanging weight, which includes all types of steaks, roasts, brisket, short ribs and of course, a lot of ground beef. This was grass fed-grain finished hormone-free, antibiotic free Angus beef. It didn't take up as much room in our upright freezer as we thought it would- We could have put a whole cow in there if we'd ordered one. Pork loin, also antibiotic/hormone free natural stuff, was $1.99/lb and bacon was $4.89/lb as well in their in-house cooler when we picked up the order we'd made so we bought a pork loin and if the farm had not been sold out of pork when we ordered the cow, we'd have added some of that to the order, but I have my eye on a very close-by farm that sells pork. We've started eating this very fresh beef and it is mouthwatering melt-in-your-mouth beef! We have our own chickens so we rarely have to buy eggs, only during their molts when they slow or stop laying. We all have to save money where we can, but of course, we also need our health to be optimal so this way of eating is the way to go. Next time, we'll get at least 1/2 cow ~Cynthia
