It’s wonderful to find a culture that encourages positive growth as a musician. Great musicianship and music must be encouraged and cultivated.

Some of the most growth I ever had as a musician is when I've played with people who can challenge me

Both "John" and "Ucci" names really overwhelmed music with petrucci and patitucci

That's my lida style...hes lucky to have people like that.. my band teacher wS my idol..but he was one direction...we had a falling out case I didn't know me playing a sport woukd differ with concert times...it was a tuff time in my ypung life... he turned out to have a big blemish in the end after i left.. but when we were all a unit we won youth jazz comps in the Biggs..I'm proud of that..as a drummer.. got hurt legs now I play strings for fun bass and guitar..

I changed my way of thinking about electric bass after listening to Patitucce.

I'm a decent bass player. I'm a decent pool player. I'm a decent mechanic. Not going to rock anyone's socks, but in either art, better by a fair margin than your average guy in a bar. The reason I'm a decent bass player is a bunch of my jam-buddies going to jazz school just like the reason I'm a decent mechanic is drag racing at the local strip just like the reason I'm a decent pool player is playing against very good players at my awesome local pool hall. Shit that I thought I understood (in all instances) was turned on its head once I played/worked/talked with guys that knew WAY more than me. To this day, (20+ years after I started all three hobbies), I'd rather work/play/shoot with someone WAY better. That's how you get better, or at least how I do.

I was so confused. I thought they were gonna talk about John Petrucci. I didn't know he played bass at any point lol

What’s the name of the song he’s playing in the beginning?

Heureusement que ces musiciens vont nous laisser des chefs-d'œuvre, car, il ne faut pas compter sur la médiocrité musicale d'aujourd'hui, pour s'évader,
