Search and Rescue Dog Training

Ive started watching a lot of Mr Ballen videos and that inspired this

As a Chihuahua owner, I believe this is preparation is exclusively for enemies.... which is anyone not in the family pack... or if you are in the pack, but abandoned it by going to the store, mailbox, school, work, or anywhere on the other side of the door.

As the handler of a SAR border collie, with a younger border collie in training and also the owner of a cranky elderly chihuahua, this made me laugh all morning! 😂

Greyhound: Wait... do we have to go to spooky places? It's just that I'm not allowed out in the dark, not once I have my jimjams on and my blankie, and anyway I don't really feel (door bursts open) OMG what was that?! (jumps ten feet in the air and disappears in a sonic boom, but everyone can hear them behind the couch as they're shivering so hard their bones are rattling like a fairground skeleton).

Border Collie: Are you okay?

Unrelated, but I suddenly remember walking my German Shepherd-Malimute cross about 50 years ago, and as I walked down the street back to my house, an unknown chihuahua came barreling down from the end of the road, full speed, straight at us, a woman also running full speed behind it. I called out not to worry, my dog is friendly and she yelled back "Mine isn't!" I grabbed my dog's collar, held her at my side, and we spun in a tight circle, the other dog under her jumping up to bite her belly until the woman caughtv up and pulled it out from under my dog. Haven't thought of that in years. That chihuahua latched on to her like a torpedo, went full speed, and was determined to end my dog. Amazing.
I love the school room episodes.

I trained WDs, K9s and S&Rs, as well as helping complex dogs and their people understand each other....this is a riot. I also truly love the Guard Dog School that you did....Oh, all of your videos are brill. Cheers!

The fact that my elderly parents own a Chihuahua has me slightly worried for their safety after watching this video.
