You're not likely going to hear another artist like Björk. Stop comparing her to other artists who exist independently of her influence. Her work is incredibly original, she deserves more recognition.

you know you're a bjork fan when you don't even notice how she sings anymore and you just hear the beauty in her voice

i remember when this came out, me and my dominatrix girlfriend were driving down the m25 to stonehenge for summer solstice and as the sun was setting this came on... one of the most beautiful life affirming moments i have ever experienced. years later, everytime i hear it i am consumed with that bitter nostalgia of forgotten love and the longing on summer evenings. it makes you feel whole. long live bjork.

Today I played Mutual Core as loud as I could in my car and it was bliss. Bjork still has the ability to take me to that place I personally would rather be. I understand that "Biophilia" may not be as successful (radio/music television/charts) as some previous it is still a success because many of us are still listening and still is a landmark album for music....

'She hasn't had a creative bone in her body since Post', 'she puts this kind of shit out'... no comments, just go away, man:)

She's used a lot of those sounds live for YEARS. She often has bubbly zany performances where she uses these sounds of subtle songs from her album to enhance performance and so that the performance also matches her bubbly personality. She's made a lot of sad songs, but sometimes she isn't sad so she pumps them the fuck up. XD It's really quite amazing.

Bjork has been here way before Gaga and Gaga knows it. She legitimately does

One of the artists Björk has been inspired by is a Finnish electronic music composer Mika Vainio who's been crafting this kind of beats and sounds in his music since the late 1980's, long before dubstep etc. Björk even made a short documentary about him in 1997. This is to say that like any open-minded artist Björk is inspired by what goes on around her, and instead of "failing miserably" she just keeps making her own hybrid version of stuff that excite her. That's how culture works and evolves.

huh, this reminds me of my first romantic relationship. He acted as bjork stated in the lyrics, "offer me harmony if things were done your way". Meaning, he basically... he would give me what I wanted in our relationship if I did what he wanted. He basically ruined it for me. I am still pissed at him for what he did! I gave him EVERYTHING that I could offer... but he never gave me the "harmony" that he had offered in the first place. He would distract me from that by trying to say things like, "I love you" or, "I miss you". It was pretty obvious once It got brought up... Eventually I stopped doing the things he wanted, and did something else that he would possibly like more. And because of that, he just eventually stopped talking to me! And whenever I brought it up, he would change the subject. Anyway, I still love this song, because its so violent, and I love violent music! anyway, have a great day everyone~

Bjork's knowledge of geology is impressive for an artist of her caliber. As imaginative as her art may appear it is refreshing that she isn't afraid to also seamlessly incorporate mainstream scientific truth.

I like most the parts with organ. They sound mysterious. These songs with organ prove that organ can suit well to other than church music too :)

I really love that song structure exactly because the hidden spiritual strength of the calm parts with coming crescendo can make me jump like an idiot in anticipation and GREAT excitement of the
Only the genious spirit of Bjork could create a song that makes you be crazy and out of control with tranquil music accompanied.
