They had an absolutely beautiful song called, “All of My Heart”. It didn’t really hit in the US, but I’m telling you, it’s drop-dead gorgeous and has wonderful lyrics. My personal favorite. I highly recommend it.

ABC band’s album “The Lexicon of Love” where the song Poison Arrow is from is actually one of the greatest albums ever in music history. “The Lexicon of Love” is the epiphany of the 1980s. It’s the reason why I love the eighties. Very Rad!

This is probably my 2nd favorite ABC song. I’ve been a big fan of theirs since about 1983. Their music makes you instantly want to hit the dance floor…..as I did many times in the early 80s.

This is one of those New Wave songs that encompasses what New Wave was all about. Martin Fry's fantastic voice, the over-the-top theatricality, the relentless beat, the powerful bass, the intense dance-ability. This was both music and visual imagery that you could lose yourself in. 80s music in general and New Wave in particular was primarily dance music, and you just can't imagine the joy it was of being a late teen/young adult in 1980-85, in high school and college, out there on some dark dance floor with crazy lights flashing all over the place, dancing to this amazingly fresh music in your weird new romantic clothes, and feeling like you had the world in your hands. It was a definitely a party.

The producer was Trevor Horne and he's responsible for its sound. I played this and probably all of ABC's hits when I was a DJ when they came out in the 80s. . This went well with Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran, depeche mode, Frankie goes to Hollywood, David Bowie, Howard Jones, Blancmange, michael Jackson, george Benson and many others

Make sure you listen to Haircut 100 too as they are on the Tour with ABC and HJ! "Love Plus One", "Fantastic Day" and "Favourite Shirts" are some of their biggest hits. They are a very upbeat and happy band so you're sure to like them.
