The lore is literally the best thing about OW and yet they really cannot do a single good thing with it, not even a short anymore (and I refuse to count that Venture and especially Juno shorts, they are so bad and boring 💀)

I said this before and I'm going to say it again. Jeff was a good for OW1; he was not good for OW2, even if it was his baby.
2016-2019 really was peak OW. After 2020, it was all downhill, from the pandemic to corporate greed to even sexual harassment.

Television series - Cyberpunk EdgeRunners. TLOU. Fallout. Arcane. Cuphead.
Movies - Detective Pikachu. Sonic. Mario.
These success stories only showed even greater success for the games it came from, and expanded its growth. And even if was bad, like the WoW movie and Borderlands movie, it's not going to harm the company that much as it's typically "Hollywood BS" getting involved. So yeah, an Overwatch series would have helped massively, especially if it was after OW2's announcement!
