- the fragility of their equipment
- to not let go of their equipment

The cinematic really makes me want an Overwatch series. If they aren't going to do PvE and explore the story that way they might as well give us story through other media methods. They are definitely missing out on a big market by not doing much with the lore.

Almost every Animation that's not a CGI Short (Most origin stories, and now with OW2 all the Collab trailers as well) is animated by an outside studio. Not by Blizzard. Most studios operate the same way, often even using 2-3-4 different Animation vendors who all Animate in different styles. It's just because Blizz animates their own CGI Shorts that it makes people think they animate all of their promotional material in-house.

Recently they've been having a London based Studio called The Line animate stuff for them (Cowboy Bebop, Transformers, Porsche, Venture Hero Trailer, etc) but this one seems to have a different style (3D + 2D) so they might have hired a different studio to make this 👍🏻.

this just doesn’t feel like a proper overwatch cinematic, like I always felt overwatch took its universe quite seriously, making fantasy science answers to their tech and always delving into the real world complications of having an “overwatch” agency, but this feels like it didn’t even try. It feels so childish, like, it’s space 101 - that you always tether yourself to the ship externally?? I get she’s a nervous wreck and clearly inexperienced but she doesn’t even talk to control or Athena with any sort of “official” sounding language? I’d have thought someone so nervous would be trying to use all of the lingo she’s been training with.
It just makes this whole thing so much more unbelievable.
