The best game I've played for dinosaur hinting is dinosaur hunter deadly shores, but it's a mobile game. Also the reason the ankylosaurus was so hard to kill is because they literally are covered in bulletproof armor with those bone scutes.

If you want a good dinosaur hunting game, either buy Carnivores Dinosaur Hunt, Carnivores Reborn, or Carnivores HD. I think HD was on the PlayStation 3, Reborn was on the PC, and Dinosaur hunt is on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation
