In this episode, I decided to add a couple quality of life type mods to see if we can add some more depth to the gameplay. First and foremost, I added the Tier System mod which basically takes most blocks & adds Tiered variants to them so you can get better performance, storage, and so on out of the same block space. I worked on upgrading a couple assemblers then was able to add a new storage crate which helped to finally unclog my inventory system. I also added a gravel sifter mod although I did pick the one that did NOT give you back advanced materials like uranium & platinum. Over all I'm happy with how these mods improved the game although I'm definitely taking more care this time around not to break the balance of the gameplay loop.

I've been away from the game for so long that they've made a lot of improvements and updates to the base game. So I wanted to see how the new changes feel, and so far, I'm VERY happy with them! 16:42 Izy's Inventory Manager will recognize the LWTS blocks automatically, but I believe that you will have to "recompile" it first so that it "pings" all of the attached machines.

As for the gravel sifter mod, I think the one you found is just barely not "game breaking' and would allow you to get some use out of the gravel you are getting from the drills...

22:15 ... yes it adds Titanium which is required to make any of the Mk5 (tier 5) components... also, you were looking at the tier 4 refinery but only had tier 3 assemblers, to make the tier 4 refinery you would need to make a tier 4 assembler.

26:14 The difference for the assemblers and refineries (other than the obvious new components in the assemblers) is the processing speed... I believe that it is possible that you also get a bit more out of each resource (similar to how much Iron you get from stone in the survival kit vs. the basic refinery vs. the regular refinery) but I could be mistaken on that part... I know for sure that they process a lot faster.

I think the tiered stuff is cool, and the gravel sifter you are using is fine since it doesn't give you the more rare metals.

I think the shifter is a good idea, maybe make a vent room with a timer block to vent o2 if you want to balance it out, but I'm really interested in the teared stuff. I would love to add that to a playthrough myself

Izy’s inventory manager is great for managing the component levels in your assemblers to help speed up production, keep your refineries fed with every type of ore that you have in your facility, help you manage to keep a large inventory of components available at all times. At this point you haven’t quite yet taking advantage of all the awesome features that the script gives you.

Near the end of the video, you were talking about the sifter, I couldn’t help to giggle. Magnesium is not super difficult to find. While you were talking about how difficult it was to find you had a deposit 125 m away that it was appearing on the screen right underneath the pointer.

1) Your sifter is fine. It would be cool if it would gather rare earth minerals instead of common minerals, but whatever. The sifter is fine.
2) You used half blocks in the ceiling. That is why you are unable to depressurize the "room". Your walls don't exist according to the vents. One vent is depressurizing and the other is re-pressurizes the room.

I really think the gravel sifter doesn't break the game at all and helps just clean out your inventory a little.

Honestly I'm very much against the tiered mod.
