i live on the south coast, i would fly from gatwick everyday over heathrow. great rail links and quick to get into london. i don’t know why they don’t expand it

I live in Oxfordshire, so it’s easy for me to get to Gatwick or Heathrow by train or drive or travel to Florida a lot and flying with Virgin every time and I prefer flying out of Heathrow

Very 50 50 decision to me. In 1 way makes sense to be solely at Heathrow for London services works better with partners. But would also work better at Gatwick some routes. I actually liked some at Gatwick

I appreciate some folks in the UK would prefer Gatwick over Heathrow depending on where they live. I’m probably in the minority here (don’t have O/D data for Gatwick) but coming from the US west coast and connecting to other destinations in Europe on one airline—Gatwick has always been a no-go for me. No choice really. Since Heathrow, CDG, FRA and LIS are often nightmares, I try to make connections via Zurich or Madrid. Cheers.

“Delta, an airline that Virgin has had an excellent relationship with”. Maybe because Delta own 49% of the airline? lol.

Gatwick is not my choice in flying to London, but it was actually OK as an Airport.

Sorry but some of those airlines you have claimed to have left Gatwick have not. Qatar airways have a daily flight, Emirates have 3 daily flights, BA are ramping up flights at Gatwick. It makes sense for all London as you can get frkm London Bridge to Gatwick in the same time as you can get to Heathrow. Cathay have not come back so i give you that one. Good riddance to the pseudo US carrier.

Heathrow is a much better airport than Gatwick!
