Hi, I am definitely interested in getting my pension. But I was under the impression that you didn’t need to spend four months per year for the first 2 to 3 years.

How can we coordinate your support for a test visit to pick an area to live? I’m looking for a company that handles paperwork and how to move there with minimal hassles. I’ve contacted a few companies, but responses have been poor, and none provided references.

Do you have to apply for permanent residency, or can you continuously renew temporary residency (pension)?

For the Pensionada visa financial requirement will the GOVT accept future a combination of Social Security & a private annuity to meet the requirements?

Is 2300 K per month CAD (net) enough to live in Costa Rica, particularly anywhere close (not on) water? I will have a large chunk to buy with (selling my Vancouver home) eventually, and I''ll have to pay rent at first (dip into savings as needed).

I'm good with a fairly modest lifestyle - small house, but good location, cheap car, mainly cook at home and eat local, no overly expensive hobbies. I'm looking for that pura vida - quiet, simple, surrounded by nature.

Hey this all sounds amazing. I would like to help my parents do this in the next few years. However my parents are in India. Can they also apply for it and would they have to be proficient in Spanish before applying for the retirement visa?
