Dominic Raab: UK thought Kabul would not fall to Taliban this year

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has been involved in heated exchanges with MPs from the Foreign Affairs Committee.

As well as defending his controversial decision not to return to the UK as Kabul fell, he also revealed that UK intelligence felt Kabul would not fall to the Taliban in 2021.

It’s really stupid that they are going on about the ministers holiday. It wouldn’t have made a difference they should be looking for the failures that were going on actually with the Afghan government who after 20 years training by west didn’t bother defending their country.
