Roux is probably the best method for OH (it doesn’t require a lot of rotations, does it?). But when it comes to big cubes, things get worse. You can still do M slices on 4x4 (since it’s still a small puzzle), but on 5x5 and so on, it’s going to be really challenging

The world record is widely solved by the CFOP method☕

The one who uploaded the video only showed you Roux solves BTW. He didn't show you good CFOP solves, so it's only one sided information.

Well fahmi has a 3.97 SECOND ONE-HANDED SOLVE WITH ROUX, so yeah, roux is slowly taking over 😅

CFOP is good in two handed solves
Roux is good in one handed solves

roux is best method for 3x3 and I still do it on my big cubes up to 7x7.

Roux is probably better but CFOP is just more speed-optimal

Look at this guys
In every Roux solve, there's a guaranteed re-grip for M moves
It's not so intuitive, meaning you think more which cancels out low move count.
Also, Roux is:
More complex
Has less support from the entire cubing community than CFOP and therefore is harder to master
Harder to learn
Requires more complex lookahead
CMLL recognition is harder than OLL and PLL recognition(arguably)
Has more steps than CFOP
