It worked for me with "root" and my usual WP admin passwd. I'm using the Bitnami WP stack on Windows, and stuck at how to access phpMyAdmin console until I saw this video. Very helpful -- thanks very much! :-)

- Painel Vestacp sempre cria o PhpMyAdmin sem que a gente saiba a senha correta! Com seu vídeo tudo ficou mais fácil.

When I do this I can create the user but not allowed to grant privileges and I have no database in the phpmyadmin. Anyone help with this?

Login without a password is forbidden by configuration (see AllowNoPassword)

i changed my root password but now i cant access phpmyadmin at all. all they show me was cannot access with root i want to login but i cant find it. i know the password to root i just dont know how to login i know this sounds stupid help me pls ahahahaha

INSECURE WAY (USE JUST FOR DEVELOPMENT)

$ mysql -u root -p

USE mysql;
UPDATE user SET WHERE User='root' AND Host = 'localhost';
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

Then user root as login with your new password.
