Sim Racing Setup Guide 01 – Introduction

Welcome to part 1 of my sim racing setup guide. This series of videos is intended to give beginners an overview of how to set up a car in any of the modern racing sims. Throughout the next 13 videos I will be describing in detail the various aspects of car setup and how to bring all of them together to build a car setup.
Throughout all 12 videos, I have been describing in detail the various aspects of car setup and how to bring all of them together to build a car setup.

The first 10 videos explain the ins and outs of each setup area, trying to explain the how and the why. Then, video 11 starts to bring everything together and talk through the process of building a setup. Finally, I’ve included video 12 as a case study of an Assetto Corsa setup that I created for the Audi R8 GT3.

Simracing changed - in the GPL years everybody shared their setups, numerous online databases to find any setup you needed. When I got back to simracing a couple of months ago I was surprised that I could hardly find setups - except for paid ones. I became a member of VRS which itself is absolutely great with an analyzer and lots of helpfull trackguides, but for most other sims it's quite impossible to find setups at all. Mostly due to the huge amount of track and cars combinations and constantly updated physics I guess.
So time to finally learn how these bloody setups work. I think your tutorials will help me a great deal :)
