Back in the day, I remember hearing Fran Drescher got her first Emmy nomination for ‘Nanny’ and thinking: “a nom for a one-dimensional role like that?” My bad. Then I took a good look at the series and her performances. Like Lucy, she’s a whip-smart lady who is such a good actress that she’s convincing when she plays dumb. She is one talented lady.
