Turning a Large Tree Stump Into a Raised Bed

In this video, I'll discuss how we turned a large pine stump into a planter using logs and branches to fill most of the space. Bonus footage of the tree being dropped in a tight space in the back yard.

That's an awesome idea. We have a dead Oak tree in our yard that needs to come down. It's well over 36" in diameter, so we were thinking about turning it into a table, but this looks nice too

I have a stump in my backyard. We tried to turn it into a fire pit. Didn’t work out so well. I’ll definitely do something like this!!! Thank you for sharing.

Love how they took it down perfectly. I’ve got about 5 or 6 old stumps to deal with & this might be a solution. I’ve also got another half dozen trees that need to go (about 70 years old, but not in great health & now a hazard if they fall). The companies are asking between $4K - $7K, depending if they do everything needed or just the basics, (& that’s in a small town). I know it’s a hard job, equipment, labor, etc., but geez I wish I could find a cheaper way. This is @ my parents’ home (they’ve been gone awhile now), but I’ve also got massive trees in need of trimming &/or removal at my own home over 600 miles away (in a large metro area). I’m looking a
@ another $4K+ 😳 Yikes! I have these trimmed regularly, but it’s just gotten so expensive. Anyway, maybe I can save some $ on the stump removal with your idea &/or lower the cost if we take care of the debris removal. 🤷‍♀️ Many thanks from Kansas🌻
