My math teacher did a song like this for adding and subtracting integers and I can’t forget it even tho I don’t need it

I think you multiply the:
first coefficient by the second coefficient- 2x2=4
then the first base and power by the second base and power (my britishness is showing through) - m^2 x m^3 = m^5

so you get 4m^5

It’s like 2 * 2 * m^2 * m^3, so no, it’s not 2m^5. It’s 4m^5. You can even test it with a calculator.
