I’m a South African, and a lot of South Africans are proud of the US Navy Band for performing this song, especially a people different from us singing the Zulu lyrics, priceless.

I am a retired band officer who served in the RCAF CIC, teaching and leading cadets to be the best they could be. To this day, over 25 years later, I still feel the pride and power of their performances. This amazing performance of the US Navy Band stirs my heart and earns the greatest respect for their talent and devotion to excellence.

This is a true example of a movie that inspires an entire generation and by extension millions of people. This shows how music brings people together. She did a fantastic job of honouring the song and culture that supports it. Well done US Navy.
