The best place I can recommend for folks from USA and Canada to buy this knife is from White Mountain Knives. Make sure you use coupon code "CCE" at checkout for 10% off your entire order.

You can also find the Intrigue at Amazon.COM, sometimes at a very compatible price. (not found at Amazon sites for other countries)

Amazon links will be posted here later today (Saturday, Feb 9th)

I have AMAZON Influencer pages for 3 countries U.S.A., Canada, and the United Kingdom. I would be honoured if you check them out. If you make any purchases from those pages it will help to fund CCE so I can keep making videos.

Thank-you for using my Referral and Influencer links, it helps fund my channel.

I like the blade shape and agree on the handle material with what you said. Thanks. Tony

I'm definitely definitely rediscovering my love of a good bronze washer pivot, which can be just as smooth as bearings (not as free tho). You don't need to be in a jungle or industrial work site to mess up bearings pretty good, sand from a beach (there's just no way to keep sand outta your pockets) and salt from using it to cook or eat with, two examples I've dealt with that were horrible. Sharpening dust is another. Yeah I know don't take it to the beach or on dirt roads, or use it to eat with, take extra precautions when touching up the edge... the little things you gotta do for bearings is starting to pile up quickly here...

I'm with you regarding FRN. A lot of popular knives use it, but I can't get it out of my head that it's feels like cheap plastic. Logically, I know it's tough and good material, but it tugs at my sensibilities! Great review, as usual!

I have to say I think I like it. Looks like it is a more energetic flipper than the Cut-Jack. I like it`s more gentlemanly appearance than the Cut-Jack. I hear you on the FRN and new it can have a roughness that needs to be worn off. I expect steel liners save the day here. This line of Steel Wills I have felt was intended to be an economical offering. My Cut-Jack was around $38, and for that it was FUN, but now its more like $60. This Intrigue is on Amazon at over $90, that's too much for this line on knives. If Steel Will was looking to offer a quality low cost knife then something has gone terribly wrong since there initial release. Too bad because the Cut-Jack is fun and I bet this one is too.

Oh, once again thank you for reviewing budget knives. Thank you also for taking budget knives, I don't know, seriously I guess. For some of us these aren't just beaters or work knives, they're just our knives and it's nice when they're not reviewed in a dismissive way.

FRN is very lightweight and strong. Nothing wrong with FRN. I mean you do realize most handguns are 50% FRN.

they missed the mark by not making the smaller one less than 3inches. oh and, no thumbstuds. i concur with your observations, Jake.

I have the large grey model & it's become my most carried EDC knife mine weighs 2.88oz I sometimes forget it's in my pocket, weird that yours is a little bit heavier. I don't mind the FRN scales I've had plenty of knives with FRN handles & had no issues. About the bearings, I personally don't like them on folding knives.

Do you have any difficulty with customs when ordering from the USA? I’d really like to order from White Mountain but was told certain knives would be blocked at the border. I’m thinking of the Steel Will Cutjack in particular. Thanks.

@ 6:15 in you say its hard to find budget knives with ball bearings? Btw, if you think FRN sucks put a Civivi Wyvern in your hands and say that. C'mon Jake, if you're going to attempt reviews get it right the 1st time...

The bushings are the deal breaker for me..I prefer my knives with bearings..I understand your point about getting debris in the bearings, but if youre doing that type of work with your knife, you should be using a fixed blade...just my opinion. ..the right tool for the right job type of thing....good review!
