There are two things wrong with reparations.
One is that it just doesn’t make sense, why does everyone have to pay for something that happened over 150 years ago.
Two is that it’s not going to benefit anyone. Give a man a fish, he is fed for a day. People in poverty either have to be taught to get out, (by parents, mentors, government or themselves) or they stay there. $5000 ain’t gonna do anything.

I do think black people are suffering at a disproportionate rate than a lot of other ethnic groups. However creating a divide isn’t going to stop racism. There needs to be equality for all but baring in mind that the black community have been subjected to a lot. The same as the indigenous community.

One needs to bear in mind that most immigrants went to America for a better life because living conditions in their own were so bad. Slaves were brought to America against their will and forced to work in terrible conditions. Most people tend to forget the role the slaves played in building the USA economy.

If her people were being offered reparations, she would change her tune, even though her people were not invaded and enslaved. Envy and fear are her problem. She doesn't want to see the repair of a devastated people.
