You find a blk man speaking up for the uplifting of his people and they will find another blk man to oppose it.

As a black American I don’t feel comfortable letting an immigrant discuss reparations for us because they don’t qualify so yes they are against it.

Bringing Coleman Hughes on clearly shows this isn't a serious discussion.

What about the Irish slaves? Why do Irish not get reparations?

Simple question but why is nobody asking for reparations from the people that actually enslaved these people and sold them into the slave trade, I find it strange that this is never mentioned and black African Americans seem to just accept and are even proud of their African brothers whose ancestors enslaved them in the first place, It is odd when you think about it particularly with the amount of hatred towards whites for simply being white.
Why is there never any mention of reparations for the direct descendants of the white people that fought in the civil war to end slavery particularly those that were killed for the cause and why don't Black Americans love these same decedents instead of thinking that they are the enemy

Why when sending BILLIONS N TRILLIONS to white foreigners the American government never ask anybody opinion?

There have been several government policies throughout history that disproportionately excluded or disadvantaged black Americans, limiting their access to wealth-building opportunities. Here are a few examples:

1. Slavery and Jim Crow laws: Slavery itself was a government-sanctioned institution that denied black Americans their freedom and economic opportunities. Even after the abolition of slavery, the implementation of Jim Crow laws enforced racial segregation and perpetuated systemic inequalities.

2. Redlining: In the 1930s, the Home Owners' Loan Corporation (HOLC) implemented a practice known as redlining, which systematically denied mortgage loans and financial services to predominantly black neighborhoods. This discriminatory practice hindered black Americans' ability to purchase homes and build equity, contributing to long-term wealth disparities.

3. Discriminatory lending practices: In the mid-20th century, practices such as "racial zoning" and "restrictive covenants" prevented black Americans from buying property in certain areas. Additionally, discriminatory lending practices, such as predatory lending and racial bias in mortgage lending, further limited black Americans' access to credit and fair loan terms.

4. Exclusion from New Deal programs: Some New Deal programs implemented during the 1930s, such as the Social Security Act and the National Labor Relations Act, initially excluded agricultural and domestic workers—occupations predominantly held by black Americans. These exclusions limited access to crucial social safety nets and worker protections.

These policies and practices, among others, contributed to the racial wealth gap and hindered black Americans' ability to accumulate wealth and access economic opportunities. ✂️👉🏾✅

This is nonsense! Reparations? Oh yeah, I am Mexican and I want reparations for the atrocities that the Spanish did during the conquest.

REALLY? Instead of finding Black People to present FACTS to back up why cash payment reparation is important, you find 2 immigrants to speak on it. OF COURSE, they're going to be against it, they're not qualified to get reparations.

Thanks Chuck Todd, good interview, Black were given Land that was taken back, Blacks were promised 40 acres and a mule, never received it, someone should be accountable.

Reparations are not going to happen. Floating it like it’s actual idea only serves to make more than half the country mad, and makes them turn off to hearing any other requests or arguments. By pushing for this you are shooting yourselves in the foot. It might sound fine in certain circles, but more broadly, even on the left, it’s a non-starter.

Oh shocking, you’re telling me the people who will benefit from that money are all in for it? That’s wild.

So I wonder why nobody mentioned Native Americans, their descendants definitely get reparations. Seems very dishonest for nobody to not mention them at all. 🤔🤔

President Reagan, in 1988, issued a formal apology for Ex. order 9066, and paid reparations to surviving Japanese Americans….President Clinton, in 1993, formally apologized for the US role in overthrowing the Royal Monarchy of Hawaii. (1893)
