How To Carry With Shaco Like A Challenger Jungler + Patch 14.10 Review – The Clone

Hey guys, after playing quite a few games in the new season, patch 14.10 respectively, I have noticed AD Shaco hasn’t necessary gotten stronger due to indirect nerfs (runes) and power creep.

Thew Crit buffs, while nice don’t benefit as much as they do other champions, and neither do they help until late game where Shaco gets out scaled. Also, all the new AP items seem stronger than anything else this patch, AP Shaco seems to profit most from the changes this new Season Split.

Regardless of itemization, in this video I am showing you how to carry with Shaco in High Elo through invading, ganking and by using the best objective securing strategies. Also, I am using a full Lethality Build for utility and one shot focused power with Infinity last for extra Q burst.

IE full crit gives best damage in theory but in practice you lack the stickiness/mobility and this is where the utility and quickecheaper spikes from lethality items shines.

so my build for ad shaco is profane hydra into kraken. u have the dmg and also farm faster. bloodthirster, volt are usually my next items. last item u can buy what u need against enemy team. try it out, works pretty good.

Hey clone, your videos are awesome! Keep it going! Also I am a gold shaco player and I created my own build for s14 split 2. Maybe you should try it. Knowing how much you love 1-shots, you'd love it. Normal HoB runes (since crit items are expensive you can take cash back and approach velocity as secondary). It goes like: Tiamat rush -> berserkers -> profane hydra(its just tooo good not to take it) -> The collector -> Infinity Edge -> Shieldbow/ LDR -> LDR/ Shield Bow (in my gold-elo games players dont build ressistences so I usually go shieldbow 5h) ->upgrade boots to Zephyr. No ADC+enchanter stand a chance (even with Bloodthirster shield supports dont react fast enough to heal the adc. Gold elo things

I just had a game exactly like this where I really couldn't kill anyone on the enemy team unless they were isolated. I started split pushing, my team got triple inhib, even baron, and we still couldn't end even though they had open nexus. Their wave clear was too good. We baited them to coming to an elder dragon fight, but I was hiding in the enemy jungle the whole time. When they came to elder, I just Q R to their nexus and end lol.

Ey, cut down is super OP for Shaco in pick-offs, as your Q, backstab is your main source of damage.

This was a lucky game also i gotta say. Normally when you get this behind with shaco on high elo games, enemy forces and takes out every single jungle camp that spawns on your side. Due to that you can't even go to split push because they are in your jungle. Due to this, i always try going tiamat first to make the jungle clear better so i can match up with enemy jungler and farm my camps properly. I think Shaco is highly dependent on farming. Even if you get a lot of kills, once you die, it can flip the game. That's why it's always been so risky to play ad shaco compared to ap. Just enemy turning their back around and you missing your crit at the first invisible hit, can let enemy come back at around 30 mins or later. Specially in high elo, we have to master the champ and the game knowledge just like you showed. People tend to forget the fact that taking Nexus wins the game, not killing the enemy. You can still win by being behind 10k gold if you play your cards correctly. This is a perfect example why in high elo, players don't give up that easily. You can see the "not-focused" players such as Ezreal in this case. He always died because he was alone somewhere in the map and didn't respect Shaco's capability of hunting him down.
On top of this i can suggest one more thing, put wards in enemy jungle as much as you can. Even in high elo, you can see support players that has 30 vision scores in 30 mins. They might not ward. BUT if you are playing Shaco and you know exactly who is where, that changes things. Because hunting people down in their jungle when they don't even expect you, that changes the game a lot. If someone on your team is going base, you dont have to cover them in most cases. Specially if they're not low hp. With this trick, i changed the game result so many times in past few seasons. Always watch your enemy and think where they might be going.

Since you are relying so much on splitpushing as a strategy, would you then consider experimentaL hexplate as good item. - My logic is when u show up at a tower the tower/objective you can force it with high speed with ultimate especially since clones somehow retain buffs

I Rush IE then buy like 2-3 more crit cloaks right after i have like 55% crit at 1.5 items it seems pretty strong to me

Video was on my recommended bro and gave it a watch...I don't really like the title because the jungling in the video is clearly not how a 'Challenger jungler' plays, and you even admitted in the video that you were trying to get to GM, so I guess you're not Challenger and therefore just clickbaited. The title also says 'How', so unless you point out real concrete applicable things for someone to go and do themselves, it's not a 'How' video...which I don't think this is.

This is all just my opinion, but I don't see the point in doing Blue-Gromp-Red when you can just do Wolves instead, Red Buff is only good if you're starting Blue-Gromp because you see bot fighting already and Red Buff is obviously > than Wolves in a fight, but they are not fighting, full HP and nothing happening.

When you kill Ezreal you should shove out that bot wave because Samira is nowhere near that wave to do it herself.

After you kill Ezreal the invade is what defines this elo - you're just invading because you know the enemy jungler is there, but you should be invading because you know 100% you win a fight vs enemy jungle and surrounding lanes. Karma is out of base with homeguards, Ezreal soon too so if you run in there which is 15 seconds away and it will be 3:15ish (Fiddle will be finishing clear and Level 4), you're asking to die. Thresh is also on a base because HP/mana so it's just a massive flip that works because Karma feels sorry for the invade.

After you do the bot Crab you should insta recall and just go Gromp (4:15), Wolves, and path towards the bot lane that burned Flashes, and you can even pressure Fiddle's bot jungle. Instead, you run through mid showing yourself, and get 70 gold in 40 seconds while being 'on the map'. 40 seconds = two camps usually, and they are way more gold than one Crab. So in the time you do both Crabs, I'm about to hit Gromp and path down with gold spent...big tempo miss which is the big diff between this elo and higher.

You say at some point that Grubs are pointless...well it depends no? If you have a split-pushing top laner like a Yorick/Tryndamere etc then Grubs are good. But that isn't jungling. If the game/map tells you to do Grubs, then you can do them...if the game tells you no, then you can't (just like invading).


Because of all this, you're Level 4 against a Level 6?! Fiddle at that early stage of a game. You could easily be the same level and in the same kills and potentially more making those moves I detailed above. So yeh, I think it's really pushing it titling the video 'How to CARRY with Shaco Like a CHALLENGER JUNGLER'.
