👉 Learn how to determine the extrema, the intervals of increasing/decreasing, and the concavity of a function from its graph. The extrema of a function are the points where the graph changes from increasing to decreasing or vice versa. A graph is said to be increasing when it rises from left to right and is said to be decreasing when it falls from right to left. A function is said to be concave up (convex) if the graph of the curve is facing upwards and the function is said to be concave down (concave) if the graph is facing down.

I'm frustrated that when they teach this they cannot just explain it as simply as you do. Thumbs up!

Sir, I'm currently a student taking Algebra 2, and I can't even begin to describe how helpful your videos have been ever since I discovered them. Thank you, and please keep doing what you're doing!

You have been a great source of information! I'm in my third year in college I thought I'll never see this stuff again! Keep up the good work teach!

some textbooks say that end points can be local extreme point, some of them NOT. Which view is true? Or it doesnt matter?

guys, g(f) is NOT a local/relative max, the same way g(a) isn't a local/relative min. you cannot have relative max and mins at the endpoints of a function

x=f can’t be a relative max, there’s no points on either side to compare it with.
