Definitely an "irritated, but putting up with it, " look. It's priceless!

I'm so pleased to see a parent intervening for a change. Good job, dad.

Her body language says she's happy, but that look on her face definitely makes you think otherwise, lol.

But its good that the Dad intervenes. Perfect! Teach the kids to have some respect and they can build a wonderful relationship :) but yeah the look at the face of the cat is just great!

That kitty is just so tolerant. She's not overly happy, but she is really chill about the kid. So cute.

despite their annoyance, that seems like a VERY tolerant cat!! meowed when picked up, but didnt kick, scratch, or even growl/hiss, just hopped down. maybe trusted dad would give them a hand! 🤣

teach kids from an early age how to treat their pets- well done to the dad:)

that is unironically good parenting. not letting the kid bother the cat until it scratches or bites her, but also not screaming at the kid and not explaining exactly what she was doing wrong. props to the dad!

They'll probably be best friends later. My youngest grand when she was about 2, was pulling my old boys tail and I decided to give him a chance to respond before intervening. He smacked her little hand, hard, but no claws. She immediately stopped, looked at him with her eyes filling with tears, then laid her head gently down on his side. He bent his head down and licked her head. Total mutual respect after that. When he passed away a year ago on Mother's Day, she was only 4 but still talks about him and how wonderful he was. I had him for 20 years and she only for 2 but they were besties. And we have 4 other kitties her plus her mom has 1 at their house. Soleil is still her favorite.

My childhood cat Shawna put up with a lot. My parents worked hard to make sure we knew how to care for animals. This didn't stop us from dressing her up like a baby and wheeling her around in the stroller. She was so good with us but when she had enough it wad a bunny kick and a nibble and she was off.

So glad to see the parents correcting the child, and teaching her proper ways to interact with the cat that are safe for all

Oh my goodness, this is so hilariously adorable! The girl repeating "He's happy for me, look, he's happy for me" while the cat shows how "happy" he/she REALLY is with her! Lol...

Props to the dad for not just sitting there recording while the kid is mishandling/mistreating the cat like I've seen SO many other times (even if they aren't intentionally trying to harm them)!

That cat looks as happy as Clint Eastwood.

Teaching kids how to show respect and consideration for animals is so important! This little girl is clearly being raised well. Even what she said about the cat being happy shows that she knows that her dad values the cat's feelings and that reassuring him that the cat is still happy to be with her is a good response to being corrected for mishandling it. This warms my heart! 💜
