Great vid! I'd be curious to see you do the black - grey wash and instead of white, maybe a dark cherry red stain / wash. Also, what would you topcoat it with that prevents the color ruining and also won't yellow? Hope you take up the challenge! tnx so much!

Hi, I love your tutorials, they are very clear. I cannot find the one in which you show how to do different colors for staining. Would you be so kind to tell me where is it? Thanks in advance and thanks again for sharing.

It is beautiful and easy, but I think I will add some brown into it, and maybe even some reds or blues, too, for it to look a little more realistic.

Great! Would you protect the color wash with poly or just leave it raw. Im just creating an accent post and will mix my own color "stain" but I want it to look weathered so Idk if I should poly it or leave it alone

DYI Dork, I just discovered you yesterday and I think you're awesome! You clearly love what you do and I much appreciate you sharing your tricks with us.
I tried this out on quite a boring plain new a sheet of plywood I've used to make the base of my murphy bed, so when folded this is a key focal point for the room. I got into a bit of a trance looking for any kind of inspiration from the wood grain (no knots, just lines) and got a bit carried away. It now looks like an eerie dark magical tree trunk with loads of painted on texture but I didn't thing to use your wire brush texture trick first so it's still actually phisicallt flat. Any advice for maybe denting the texture onto the wood rather than ripping up hours of inspired wood staining with a wire brush?

MrDiyDork, what acrylic latex are you using in this video regarding the sheen level? Was it a flat, satin, semi-gloss latex? Also, in this specific example you are showing, which brand and exact color of grey paint did you use in combination with water dilution?

HOW DO YOU MAKE NEW CCA TREATED WOOD LOOK OLD AND WEATHERED?

What really makes it work is that the wood on the left is distressed (the grain is open)
that would have happened when it freezes and exposed to moisture, plywood is like that

easiest thing to do is buy cheap pressure treated pine privacy fence planks and let them sit outside a month or so since you're not supposed to paint/stain PT wood until it's had time in the weather. Then just stain them whatever color you want, distressing may not be needed since the face of the planks is rough to start with. You can rip them down to whatever width you need with a table saw. Only 10 square feet of "weathered planks" cost 28 bucks at Home Depot when you can make a lot more of them for much cheaper

The gray color wash, what's the title of the video that tells us how to do that?

Do you have a look similar to this but with maybe a light brown on top to do on wood flooring? I can’t find a tutorial anywhere for a look like that and I don’t want to mess it up.

Do you know what kind of paint comes in the new Giani wood paint kit? I really don’t want to buy the kit. Thanks so much!
