Home inspection hot and cold water switched

During a home inspection inspection the i specter found that the hot and cold water was switched. Well he has right but all that was needed was to change the handle so the pointer pionter pointed to the hot when it was hot and it pointed to the cold when it was cold. If your not on your game that day this could cause a lot to work switching those pipes around.

That is a moen faucet.
If h and c are reversed u pull cartridge and turn it 180 degrees and put it back in
What u did did nothing
Unless u tore out all the stops in faucet body.

It worked! My wife thinks we got lucky but simply removing the handle and turning it 180 degrees and putting it back on worked. We don't even have the pointer like in the video. Thanks!

We never use the downstairs shower stall so I never bothered to fix the reversed Hot/Cold since we moved in years ago. Since the upstairs shower is currently not working, I decided to work on this one also. Only had Hot water no Cold, so replaced the cartridge. Guess what.... still no Cold water. Searched Youtube ended up cleaning the Balancing Stool now Hot & Cold yeah! Hot/Cold still reversed so I removed the cartridge thinking somehow I reversed it just like the previous installer. Reinstalled the same problem. Frustrated came across you BINGO! Everything working properly as it should. THANK YOU!

Solved the problem I had after replacing a broken handle. A plumber wanted to break the tile and at the hardware store to replace the cartridge. I knew neither were right but couldn't figure out the solution. Thank you.

Thank you!! Out of 30 videos, yours fixed my problem! I had minimum cold water and seems that I had put the knob on wrong after cleaning it.
