The Domino Dock is a cradle for your Festool domino that allows you to have the tool mounted to your bench and take the work to the tool. This makes repetitive tasks, like making doors and face frames much faster since you don't have to reposition and reclamp the work for every mortise.

Thanks for the positive “review”! To those that feel that the machine is not as safe this way…I’ve never had a single incident. My hands are always plenty clear of the cutter…and if the piece I’m cutting is small…a simple clamp holds it safely and securely. I use my Domino machine in the Dock way more than hand held, anymore. It’s just much more efficient. Anyway, thanks again!

Anyone considering the safety of having your hands and fingers less than an inch from a spinning bit?

Sorry but the idea of moving my fingers towards the oscillating blade on such a small piece of wood does not make sense to me..

I’ve been an admirer of Ramon’s work for years now. I personally don’t have a need for an accessory such as this, however it makes me wonder if a table top version of a domino would be beneficial, much how pockethole machines have handheld and tabletop versions. Glad that Ramon has found a need in the community and has a solution for it.

On Ramon's website he recommends clamping the piece prior to plunging. Things go wrong, like the depth isn't set, an issue with the piece or just plain fatigue & boredom through repetition. Thanks for sharing! Subscribed

Perfect, just perfect way to give away your fingers / hands / confidence / whatever. Tools made certain way by manufacturers for a reason. Please learn the easy way and use the tool as prescribed by the maker.

Certainly faster but seems less safe. I'd be worried about a piece slipping and the bit catching my fingers

Looks great. The concept could be used to position the Domino much lower, at waist height, couldn't it?

Interesting. You know if you put a notch into the rear plate (The one the base of the Domino is against.) you could use it to hang your power cord when unplugged.

I think I’d be embarrassed to by that. As a wood worker. Looks pretty easy to make.
