Let me know what you think of these drawers!

I’ve seen a few people do this, but none have come close to explaining it as well as you do. You’ve earned another sub, nice work!

I make hundreds of drawers like this, since 2009. I rabbet the sides and glue up the drawer. I add the Domino mortises in half the steps you are taking after the drawer is assembled and then add the tenons.

Just got the vertical plate and did not know about the 20mm tabs, thanks very much for explaining that. Nice drawers by the way, really like the through domino effect.

Very cool demo! Was actually watching to see how you laid out the tenons. Will be doing something similar using dowels.

Just made some drawers yesterday for the first time with the domino, though I cheated and pin nailed all the drawer sides completely together first, then ran the domino through both parts of each joint simultaneously.

I've been using the Domino for about two years now and of course have never read any of the documentation that came with the tool. I've been guessing and checking where the center of the tool is and didn't know how easy it was to find the center of the bit based on the existing geometry of the tool. Thanks for the tip!

Great video, never knew about the 20mm stops or the tab showing cutter dead centre. Every day is a school day.

Nice...I think the one clap for dry time is a big plus to this technique.

Nice! And learned a few new things about my d500. Thanks.

I haven’t seen any other videos on YouTube that demonstrate projects showcasing the look of through-cut Domino joints. Why the heck not? It’s a good look- exposed and flushed-up tenon ends. Celebrate the Domino, don’t hide it!

Very nice. I have a domino 500. Next time I build drawers I'm gonna try this method.

Good job! I did not know about the 20mm tabs, and I have owned the vertical plate for 3 years! Duh!?!

I use a similar technique except I make my mortises in both boards at once. I clamp the face board down on top of my bench so the end is flush with the edge of the bench. Then I clamp the side board to the side of my bench so the end is flush with the face board. Then I bore my mortises through the side board into the face board. Depending on the stock thickness, I select a depth that will leave the domino slightly proud of the side. I trim it off with a flush cut saw.

Brilliant. I’m not clear on how you managed to alter the height of the cut from 10mm to 9 (I think). I thought the 10mm height was fixed but I’m encouraged to learn that it can be changed. I just need to figure out how to do it. Great video by the way and super drawers. Peter

You didn’t show it, but I’m assuming the dominos are protruding when first assembled and then you sand flush? Thx
