As a person with asthma, most people will never understand just how much relief an inhaler can give. I always keep mine on me.

Back when my asthma was bad, this saved my life multiple times. It took my from acute breathing problems that could send me straight to the ER, to completely normal breathing.
Inhalers are a godsend

Whoever invented the inhaler (or those that worked on advancing them) deserves the world. As someone with asthma I can't tell you how instant and relieving inhalers are.

As a med student: The bronchioles (air passages) contain receptors called beta-2 receptors which help them widen by relaxing the smooth muscle, and the drug in the inhaler (usually salbutamol or formoterol) stimulates the beta-2 receptors, and thus the airways widen.

A girl I went to school with died 2 days before her high school graduation, all because she ran to the store and left her inhaler at home 😢 She was pretty and full of LIFE. She had also received a full ride scholarship to college

My grandfather use to have those too and I’m sure this may help his breathing. He sadly passed away in June 2021 and I still miss him. He is a good grandpa too.
