The only thing I understand less than dark matter is how Anton keeps putting out so much quality content.

I'm thankful that there's at least 1.19 million of us who know how important Antons points of discussion are.

Excellent update, Anton. A little better understanding of what dark matter is, and what it does.

When I was a child I set myself a goal to learn something new every single day of my life (including weekends). I want to thank Anton for helping me achieve that goal 🙏

I like how he's so matter of fact and doesn't lay on this "science communicator" shtick. "Oh guys this is SO exciting.." if he's intrigued you can kinda tell but it's not this show. Just puts it straight. Great stuff.

Dark matter and dark energy are two things that always drive me crazy. I am glad we are at least starting to see some patterns in it that can point to just what it is.

While I'm not yet convinced that dark matter and and dark energy really exist, the latest evidence seems to indicate that scientists are at least on the right track. This channel looks objectively at the evidence and presents it in an unbiased way (although Anton occasionally seems to assume that it does exist). Given our current knowledge, it's foolish to have preconceived ideas about the universe. Dark matter and dark energy are interesting concepts which seem to challenge logic. Since we have no better theories, it's good that we try to show whether these concepts are valid or not. Anton, as a retired teacher and lifelong enthusiast of astronomy, I can say that you are an excellent teacher--the comments below demonstrate that quite clearly. Keep up the good work.

Can’t remember the last time I heard about ‘not strange’ or ‘usual’ dark matter findings

Maybe dark matter is what existed in the universe before the expansion from the big bang.

"Cloud-9" and "R.E.L.I.C.S." Sometimes astrophysicists really slam-dunk naming things.

Question, Anton: do any of these findings suggest why quasar formation 1) occured early in the universe and 2) why the rate of formation fell off with time i.e. why do we only have mild AGNs like Seyfert galaxies relatively nearby?
