I totally agree that the LHC and people there have no idea the forces that they're dealing with! I had read a article from none other than Stephan Hawking, stating that there are things, forces(unknown) no one is ready for, and know what to do if something happens! Possibly setting off a chain of events that once started? Couldn't be stopped, and it had something to do with the vacuum bubble of space, and it scared the heck out of him!
So with that, I'd be some what worried as well!
