Been using hitfilm since 2016 and there is still things that i'm still learning thanks for the tutorial

First thing first! You can select all your clips than just drag your preset to apply to all clips at once!
Black bars is to change to widescreen format without changing the setting in camera ( if your camera has the settings) 
Now, how you added the black bars is not the easiest way or to be precise from movie to movie. There are many free downloadable files that are PNG (image) that means it an overlay and only the black is visible ( use for iMovie ) or make your own using a basic free photo app that can save as a PNG file. Just use a video size That is your camera uses, fill it with green to make a complete green screen, add a black bar at the top and one at the bottom that looks like the right thickness to you. Save it as a PNG image, Import it into HitFilm. Added overtop your Video. Set the duration to last as long as your video. Now you have a widescreen templet for all of your movies.
Another tip is when using your camera and you are going to make it more cinematic or widescreen use gaffers tape to cover the top and bottom screen of the camera, where you are in post or editing going to add the Black bars. This helps you compose your frames by not cutting off something important.
By the way, I'm not new to editing videos but I would not call this an Advanced Video Editing. Using Hitfilm Express to edit I am new.

I really appreciate you and I have subscribed. I have a question maybe you can help me. I’m having trouble syncing my video after I exported. It plays back fine but only after I exported it its off. I did hand break I set everything to constant and I still have this problem. Can you help?
