Putin probably also saw how pringles was treated like a rockstar and he got jealous and was like “I need to show I’m a rockstar too and everyone wants to thank me”. He’s ego is so fragile. It’s embarrassing. Even if it was a body double, he would have told his double to do that.

It’s a common problem that political leaders firmly on the right or left fail to recognise the threat from those on the same side but more extreme. Their real enemies are often behind them rather than in front.

Amazing how Putin managed to look about 20 years younger in that recent video... and also looks like a totally different guy.

This night appearance of Putin looks like an attempt to give out impression that this particular crowd likes him more than the crowd in Rostov liked the Wagner chief.

In my opinion, the main take-away point is that Putin cares about his public image in Russia. He does not want to lose public support, likely because it might protect him from being ousted.

That's interesting how she mentioned him sitting fare away to avoid germs. Over the last couple years he has done this, but maybe not just because of the pandemic. I would bet he has an autoimmune thing going on, like lupus. Just from small things in his appearance, him falling down, or covering his lap with a blanket. Sometimes his face has the whole corticosteroid look to it, like from longer term prednisone use. IDK maybe just me, please chime in.
