The variety in your non fiction reading is so so cool and inspirational! So glad to see Gene here too! Definitely looking up a bunch of books you talked about here.

Oh gosh I love Michael Pollan books - The Omnivore's Dilemma is a total nonfiction food writing classic! Also Into Thin Air!!! What a read! I'm also eyeing The Devil's Element and Angela's Ashes for 2024. Hadn't heard of Going Clear, but added it to my TBR. I know nothing about scientology, so hopefully I learn a lot!

"Angela's Ashes" captivated me, so thank for the mention and I hope you find it intriguing. Merry Christmas to you, your husband, your families. Happy Holidays to everyone here. Cheers, Ardith

I’m reading Pilgrim at tinker creek in January. It’s been on my shelves for too long. I read The Glass Castle a few years ago, I’m also a late to the party reader. I loved it and I hope you’ll enjoy it too. Several of these books are being added to my want to read lists💕

I didn’t see this video since I was so busy around Christmas. I have read about half of these books. The only one I didn’t enjoy was Pilgrim at Tinker’s Creek. You have lots of great reading ahead of you!

Loved Glass Castle! Read it twice ❤

Loved Big Magic as well. Elizabeth is extremely motivational in her discussions of what it means to be creative.

Cultish is eye opening and hilarious. The MLM section is definitely full of belly laughs.

I'll be interested in hearing your commentary on Cultish, a book I read because of the hype and because I love reading about language. Happy New Year!

I think this is an amazing list of non-fiction books! I will be following along with you and reading them throughout 2024 as well. I just finished the audiobook of Big Magic and loved it. Great video! Thanks for sharing!

I'm in the minority when it comes to The Glass Castle. I DNF'd It rather quickly when it seems so over the top in terms of her history and how well she remembered her childhood. Angela's Ashes was great as was John krakauer's Into thin air. I'm finding myself drawn more and more to nonfiction. I'm reading G-Man about j Edgar Hoover and finding it fascinating. Always enjoy your content and your thoughts on bookish things. Happy holidays and to a good New Year!🎉

Oh Olive, Dopesick is such a tragic and difficult and important book. I am so glad I read that book, but it was difficult for my mind to unwrap the sinister details. How can we let this happen? Such a great book. Angela's Ashes is so sad, yet so funny, and so full of life. All the good and so much of the bad and ugly. Going Clear is a shocking look at the ridiculous world of a cult. You have given me some great ideas for the upcoming year. I know you will enjoy the books I spoke about, and I hope you have much to tell us as you go through your stack.
