Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, hit back at social media commentators after she was criticized for liking one of former President Donald Trump’s campaign posts on Instagram.
Mahomes—who has been regularly by Taylor Swift’s side since she started dating Travis Kelce— did not provided any additional context. However, her presumed political views continued to be a topic of discussion online.

Making your choice for voting on an election based on a celebrity endorsement is sad. As Kayla said, celebrities and the rich live vastly different realities, so their concerns about who should be in power is very different from the everypersons concerns. If you need a celebrity you love to endorse a candidate for you to vote for that candidate, you are forgetting to actually think of what you need rather than what you like.

Taylor is the one who gave the public this expectation that she would use her platform for issues such as this by releasing her documentary, Miss Americana. The entire thing was about, finding her political voice & standing up against social injustices & bigotry & supporting victims of sexual assault. That's why people are questioning why she's been silent as of late.

as a swiftie, i find it kind of disappointing that she specifically made a whole documentary saying she would speak out on politics more and shes doing nothing. I agree that a celebrity does not need to endorse/support any candidate but the fact she’s said nothing abt the fake images makes me annoyed she couldn’t bother to tweet or something saying that’s fake. i thinks she’s just trying to avoid controversy as she’s still on the eras tour idk

She has a responsibility to reject Trump's AI endorsement from her. She doesn't have to endorse anyone but gaw damn, even Celine Dion (who is not American and completely apolitical) said STOP USING MY MUSIC. A lot of Taylor's close friends are Trump supporters so...

Younger people tend not to vote. Younger people love Taylor Swift. So it’s more about driving engagement more than it is anything else. If she’s says “vote and vote specifically for Kamala” turnout is likely to be higher and Dems tend to win when turnout is high.

I would prefer if celebrities didn’t intentionally try to influence millions of people on something they’re probably not educated on (or care about). Of course, I have no problem if they DO choose to speak on certain topics, that’s their right… however, I also feel like we shouldn’t be mad if an artist doesn’t act like a politician…

i truly do not believe taylor will speak on any side BECAUSE of how influential she is. yes, the biden endorsement did happen but i hate to say it, she was 1000% not as popular as she is now. and to quote her most recent insta post on the vienna shows, “let me be very clear: I am not going to speak about something publicly if I think doing so might provoke those who would want to harm the fans who come to my shows.” if she does endorse either side while on a massive sold out tour, it will spell bad for either side. including cancelling, lost revenue, and even more possible threats, said by a 2x eras tour attendee and 15 year fan.

whether she endorses on the break or not, it doesn’t matter. it won’t just go away once she makes a choice and her and her team know that. why risk threats from either side when picking? it can’t be that comfortable knowing that the two political parties of the united states know that if you endorse them, they win, and she isn’t even INVOLVED in politics.
