Rurouni Kenshin Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story (るろうに剣心 -明治剣客浪漫譚- Rurōni Kenshin Meiji Kenkaku Romantan?), also known as Rurouni Kenshin and Samurai X, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki. The story takes place during the early Meiji period in Japan and follows a former assassin from the Bakumatsu, named Himura Kenshin, who becomes a wanderer to protect the people of Japan. Watsuki wrote this series upon his desire of making a shōnen manga different from the other ones that were published at the time, with Kenshin being a former assassin and the story taking a more serious tone as it continued. The manga revolves around themes of atonement, peace and romance.

im now an adult. ruroni kenshin was my favorite anime when i was still a little child, so i couldn't even find the words to describe how grateful i am to all the actors, directors and other movie stuffs for making a respectable adaption of the anime

Im 35 with 2 kids. Samurai X The anime started when I was 7 years old snd up until today I watch it on Netflix repeatedly. This has always been my favorite since! Thank you to the creators, producers and actors of this awesome anime and the real life movies. ❤

I'm one of the few people in the entire Western world who got to see the awesomeness of the Rurouni Kenshin film in the cinema. Immediately became one of my favourite films of all time. Helped of course by this song as well as the other music in the film.

Saw them performed live during US tour. Was a surreal experience. The live-action movie that I’ve grown to love so much and the band that made the music for THE MOVIE. Getting to see them perform live in person was the best thing ever.

i've been listening to one ok rock (passively) for years and two days ago when i finished watching koi wa tsuzuko yo doko mademo i couldn't help but be amazed by how good of an actor takeru satoh is so i gave rorouni kenshin a shot and wow i'm speechless to find that the beginning was actually the movie's theme song??? this coincidence made me happy!!!!

What I loved is how seamless they merged several story arcs into 5 movies:
1: The Fake Battousai and the Kanryu Takeda Arc.
2. The First Half of the Juppongatana Arc.
3. The Second Half of the Juppongatana Arc.
4: The Jinchu Arc and they answered an unanswered theory from the past.
5. A prequel that explained why Kenshin got his scars and gave up being a manslayer.
