This is great news specially when I'm the original owner of my 1993 with only 33, 000 miles on it. Great video BTW!

Brother I liked the Iroc but there is no sound like a 5.0. And I don't mean the new one. Even the new 5.0 don't sound like a Foxbody 5.0. The sound, the look. There is no other. They are just a awesome platform.

It’s crazy. I bought a 90GT 2 yrs ago for $9200. Decent price for the car plus or minus $500. Great looking car. I’ve had offers of $15k and $25k since buying it.

Another thing is the capri from 79-86! Love those cars and even get to have the experience of owning one. I feel like the capri is kinda overlooked or not as noticed like the foxes but one thing you can’t deny is the capri has its own unique look like the fox.

I picked up an 86 SVO in 2020 for $4500. Looks like it was the right time to buy.

Truth! My Capri wasn't an easy car to find, especially for the shape it's in and I know I paid to much but the market was what it was.

When I first started driving I was in love with T-Top IROC's with those iconic 5 star mags, swap the Auto tranny out for the 5 spd to mate with the 350! My first car was a 90 LX 5.0 with the 5spd which my dad sold it to me for a dollar. The few 5spd 350 Irocs and Trans Am's that I knew of didn't stand a chance against my bone stock LX 5.0. This was during Fast and Furious 1 yrs so everyone was racing and I barely loss with a intake and exhaust 5.0. If we hold onto these Foxes they maybe worth a small fortune

I feel one reason they are so popular is they have always dominated the streets and tracks because of the suspension set-up, it sounds good anyway lol.

To add to that . The guys who had one or always wanted one back in the day are now in a situation where they can get one because their kids are grown and they're secure financially so it's time to relive there teenage years.

I remember when they were attainable and sold for 3k-8k everyday of the week. In the past three years they have appreciated a lot. Same thing happened with the ford lightning first gen. Had the opportunity to purchase a couple for 8-9k and now I can’t find them for anything less than 17k here in Cali.

First time I heard and saw a foxbody I was hooked, now restoring a 1979 foxbody coupe Ghia with a 302 V8. Gonna be sick. Would love to send some before and after pics Brew2l.

Dude your video is 100% correct. I been window shopping foxbodies for about 4 years and you're accurate with the pricing. Could get a nice daily cruiser back then for 4500-6k with little mods and RTR. Now can't get a running and driving car that don't look like a rust bucket for under 7k at least in pa.

I'm a diehard FORD guy. It doesn't matter what kind of Ford. I even have a Ford riding lawn mower. As a teenager my first vehicle was a lowered '69 F100 in 1988. But I fell in love when I first saw heard a 1987 GT. I knew I had to have one. Hell, the desire to own that car motivated me to get good grades in school and go to college so that I could afford it. I bought the first one at 22 and today at almost 50 it is still my favorite car to drive even though I have others that are faster and more refined. It's stock, unmolested, has 300K miles and still runs flawlessly. I also own a 65 Sportsroof and a 67 coupe but the ol fox is my baby.

Well said my friend. I think since the platform ran from 1979-1993 and most people can relate to having one or one in their family or having a story spanning basically over two generations. They are light fun cars that sound about as good as anything. I’ve had 11 of them, down to 2 of em now. I Miss the other 9

Well said bud, i think they are sought after because of the way the platform is setup, good size engine bay, very
light cars with good power and the cars can be easily modified with a ton support from a performance community
and damn people just loved these cars.

I've seen this happen time and time again since the 80s. I sold off a bunch of different types of classic cars back in '15. And I got as much as I could. I never believe that those cars would go for what they do today. Thousands of dollars more.i wish I would had seen that coming.
So I think these cars will keep going up and up and up.

I paid 10k 2 years ago for mine with a built 347 and a T trim
Ended up cracking the block a year later but I feel it was the best deal I could find
