1966 fender super reverb vs fender twin reverb reissue

I love em' both. Chose a Twin over any other Fender amp but they're all good. I remember engineering with a Twin and Super years ago and being blown away by both too but you can't beat the relaxed and 'huge'' tone of a TR!!

Twin - I own both, a '64 SR and a '77 TR. Nothing sounds better with a Tele than a Twin.

I like the Twin...12's just sound much better for guitar than 10s.

I’ve been in the room with both many times and the Super has that more in depth 3d sound IMO. The Twin has it also but a firmer under the finegers response . This video makes it hard to hear the note separation in the Super Reverb

Always been a Twin fan! They just get it done! And even though the SR is a 66, the Twin reissue still gets it BETTER!

I much prefer the twin in this video. A much more relaxed and balanced sound where as the Super Reverb has got excessive (nasal) mids.

Super with 10's any day! The mid punch and tighten bass of 4x10's is pure awesomeness! The key is putting high watted 10's in the Super like JBLs, then its a real beast. Imo the Super Reverb is Fender's greatest amp! Go watch Philip Sayce live with his Super and you'll think differently about 10's 👌

always liked 4x10 better than 12s. Leave the low end of the mix to the guy on bass and the kick drum.

I get why people like that low end playing alone, though, but like to be able to turn an amp up and not have it sound bloated on the bottom.

everyone loves the super because of srv but the twin is a beast and much more fuller sounding with the 12in speakers. I gig on a 65 twin and 58 super (2x10 28 watts) together. can't really say I have heard better tone

The TWIN sounds flat and dull in comparison and the Super sounds sweet and musical with more character but there is a common mistake of making a videos like that, the camera is at the height of the speakers, the twin is off axis the camera's mic and the Super is on axis which means that the Super is shooting the highs harder to the mic and the Twin is not.
