Regarding psx version, its because at the time, consoles used tvs which were standard resolution, i.e. low resolution. The pc used monitors which could have higher resolutions.

its up to each one to choose, both are relatively available with our technology today. I personally dont always think that better resolution equals better "graphics", specially with low poly games

Played diablo 1 on ps emulator and exeriencing the music bug. On the other hand i was amazed it had water reflection and crows.

My first encounter with Diablo was the PSX version and till now it's superior in my opinion.

Just started on an emulator - yes the ps 1 ver resolution is so bad that I had to look this video up to double check, diablo 1 on PC had crisp graphics even back in the day

PS1 water reflections look really good, the ground also seems to have more grass but its probably because the ps1 is more zoomed in. Ps1 is almost better the only thing is lower resolution

For those who talk about resolution being superior in pc, the pixelated low-res fits extremely well with diablo, I find the psx version more stylish and pleasant to look at but thats my taste

There is more. The illumination in the dungeons is far superior on the playstation version.

In ps version you can revive your dead friend with scrolls. I prefer pc because you can make the character run fast with shift, if I'm not mistaking the key. Also, on pc, you can save before killing a mini boss with golden letters so you reload if the loot dropped sucked. I think pc had faster loading times.

I don't think I could handle the PS's pixilation. And that stream might be the only reflective water in the game.
