Something I have done recently is when I want to steal something from a vendor I ask to see what they are selling, and if it's something that is a stack like gold or potions, etc. I just shift-drag the stack to make smaller stacks in their inventory before trying to pickpocket them. So that dc 25 stack of 500 gold turns into 10 separate 3-4 dc checks.

Edit: Something else to mention is that no matter how low the DC check is, there is a 1 of 20 chance of getting caught because of rolling a well.. 1. If you have karmic dice on then you might want to consider turning it off otherwise be forced at some point to get caught because you're passing too many dc checks.

In the Underdark at the Arcane tower out on the balcony to the right of the main entrance is a “mundane chest” it turns any item you put in it into spoons, plates, etc. So I took the chest and filled it with barrels for tossing which allows you to carry way more as 40lb barrels turn into 0.01lb spoons lol. It’s just so useful and the chest itself only weighs 20lbs. Absolute must have for barrel tossing brutality XD

Using Non-Lethal Attacks is a great way to avoid taking damage on your melee characters against enemies who explode on death, like Mephits or the Thorn Throwing enemies in Act 2. After the battle you can execute them with ranged attacks from a safe distance.

I wish Larian would give us the ability to label crates/backpacks/pouches. It would really improve inventory management.

If you are constantly swapping out amulets or gear on characters, you can just single click the desired gear slot, and it will bring up a sub menu with anything you have available to equip.

Regarding the passives, you can even pull them from your spellbook into your "Common" hotbars . That way you wouldn't have to press the "Passives" tab each time you want to change them.

something to keep in mind with the camp casters buff, they don't work on any spell that says "concentration" because the characters will automatically cancel their concentration when sent back to camp. Warding bond works because it's not a concentration spell but make sure you use a hireling for it then dismiss after casting if you want to negate the shared damage. If you use Shadowheart for it then she will still be taking the same damage that the protected character is taking and can die in camp because of it.

You can get some hirelings, respec them to cleric, get them up to level 10 for Divine Intervention and use this spell to create legendary weapons.

Another small tip for item storage/inventory management that people may overlook: you can actually just drop bags/chests on the ground at camp and they will stay there forever, along with any items you put inside them. This does mean you have to go to the specific camp with the specific chest to get items out of it, but I find this really useful for storing old equipment and even quest items that you don't want getting lost in the clutter of the Traveler's Chest. Or if you have a bunch of stuff for a certain companion that you want to hold onto but don't need to carry, you can plop a chest right next to their tent at your favorite camp

The hirelings for buffs is really smart. Since I play some low armor characters, getting an extra mage armor is super useful.

Don't forget you can play an instrument you're proficient with and play a little melody for the vendor.

It will improve their attitude towards you

PROTIP: Have a chest you can't currently lockpick? Instead of leaving it, put it in your inventory then 'Send to Camp' to pick sometime later!

Oh, and if you have your characters next to each other on the initiative tracker, you can do their actions in any order - including switching between them, e.g. to get your fighter next to an enemy to let your rogue get a free sneak attack or to move one of your chars out of the way

Something to note about camp supplies, they still count in your camp box, so unload them every time you long rest

1 quick tip: Expanding on bags helping organizing your stash:
- You should get those 3 special bags from one of your party members and donate it to the stash (camp suplies, reagents and keys).
Your companions doesn't really need them, secondly when you go to sleep you will be able to use automaticaly the camp suplies inside the bag on stash

Chest of the Mundane-absolute must from the underdark!
Place all your barrels in it and they become almost weightless. Have a halberd that shocks but it weighs a ton? CHEST OF THE MUNDANE!

If you’re ever killing a vendor, turn on the non-lethal passive. This lets you loot their entire inventory rather than a fraction of it

Another tip. When your team mate is downed u can heal them to OR throw a healing potion on them to help them get back up

I dont know if its been mentioned but another vendor thing to note is that your Charisma stat actually affects prices, so try and have your high Cha characters (Warlock, Bard, Sorcerer, or just whoever has the highest in your party) be the ones earning the attitude and buying/selling because they get better prices than someone with a low charisma
