I'm watching this in 2020, and always will, and cry because I can't believe what a song, what a musicians, what a gig, something like this will never happen again, this is history, this should be in school textbooks as a definition of music...

I`ve never ever seen another player who is this good or even better which is just impossible! I don`t care what other people say but Mark is is by far the best guitarist that ever walked this planet. Period.

I saw them in Lausanne, June 1992, magical moment, the stadium was more full than with Pink Floyd or U2, almost 55.000 people, all lit with candles during brothers in arms, I'll never forget those moments !!!!

Is it just me or does Dire Straits put on one of the best live shows ever? God the goose bumps just don't go away.

A lot of people don't seem to like the sax for some reason. I too think it's a superb addition, it just jives really well with the already jazzy sound of Dire Straits. I don't have a definite preference for one version over the other, all the live versions bring something unique and beautiful to the table in my opinion. Just love the fact that there are so many great versions out there, their live performances are on an unparalleled level as far as I'm concerned.

En 1992 grabé en vhs este concierto, emitido por TVE en España. Todavía lo conservo, lo veía una y otra vez un día tras especial los Sultans!!! Bonitos recuerdos, una época irrepetible. Historia de la música.

Dire Straits came along during the punk/new wave era and brought back good ole rock & roll (great melodies & The Beat!). One listen to Sultans on the radio and I was hooked (no pun intended)!

Look like Chris is playing the Noble and Cooley Star Series drum kit he used on the McCartney tour on this song. they changed the set list and arrangements often on this tour. Sultans was no exception. This is superb. Great to see this played in a four piece again. Great band. One of the greatest I think

I do love the sax superb but my dad changed my nappies to Alchemy, that always has a place in my heart.

LOVE this version! When the sax repeats his line and Knopfler just smiles and looks at hhim. Amazing what humans can create!! Little moments like that is what you live for. Can't repeat them, those moments are gone forever. 80-90s were such a great time!! Before technology ruined society and Millennials came along! :XD Great vid!
