Audio-Technica AT150mlx cartridge
Cambridge Audio Azur 651P phono preamp
Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 audio interface
And the recording software was Adobe Audition CC 2015

There is something magical about watching the movement of a vinyl record and the up and down of the stylus as it plays. Grew up listening to music like this. Miss it. All the little pops and clicks were annoying at the time, but now seem somehow cathartic.

И мне странно, что многие люди, даже старше меня не знают Dire Straits. А я выросла на этой музыке, за это я благодарна отцу.

I saw Mark at the Wolverine Centre in Wolverhampton many years ago (post Dire Straits) and he performed this with his band - absolutely stunning. At the end some guy shouted out “do it again Mark”. He replied “I could as well mate”. A very memorable night and I always think of that moment whenever I hear this track.
